Gilbert + Burke Supports the 2019 Dream Ball 1

This year, Gilbert + Burke’s Dream Ball donation sent four underprivileged Canadian children to overnight summer camp.

The Dream Ball held last month in Kawarthas marked its 25th year as a way to celebrate and support children. Founded in 1993 by social worker Margaret Davies, this year’s Dream Ball raised $105,000 to help support underprivileged children and send them to summer camp. In the 25-year history of the Dream Ball, over 5,000 underprivileged children have been sent to summer camp.

Gilbert + Burke’s donation this year provided four children with tuition to overnight camp. Over the past decade, Gilbert + Burke has helped to send over 40 children to summer camp through their support of the Dream Ball.

Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes announced a partnership to ensure that the Dream Ball keeps on giving. Over a period of the next five years, the Dream Ball will eventually fall fully into the hands of the Boys and Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes.

As home builders and designers rooted in the heart of the Kawarthas, supporting the children in our local community is a key value for us in each and every way.

Happy Holidays!
