The Best Golf Courses in Parry Sound

The Best Golf Courses in Parry Sound 1

The earlier the tee time the better. A list of our favorite Parry Sound golf courses.

Playing golf is one of the absolute best ways to spend any day in our opinion, regardless of early tee times or hot summer weather. From commiserating with friends to landing business deals, we’ve spent many an hour and day teeing off at one of many golf courses in the Muskoka area.

If you’re looking for the ultimate day of golfing fun in Parry Sound, here are our Gilbert & Burke picks for the best of 18 holes:

Parry Sound Golf & Country Club

At Parry Sound Golf & Country Club, you’ll find 6,000 yards of beautiful greens that are just waiting for your golf clubs. Just north of Parry Sound, the club has an incredible practice range that’s perfect for honing your skills and training your game. Join a league at the club — whether you’re a senior or just someone looking for golf partners — and get competitive with your game. You’ll also want to grab a hot cup of coffee before you tee off or enjoy a delicious dinner after your 18 holes at the course’s very own Fairways Bar & Grill.

Deer Run Golf Course

Surrounded by stunning marshes, rivers, waterfalls and trees, the beautiful Deer Run Golf Course is one of our favorite places for golf in Parry Sound. All levels of golfers are welcome to play, whether you’re a newbie or a pro, and the almost 6,000 yard course is a picturesque place to do so. You’ll find difficult holes alongside intermediate ones, and you’ll also find community during the annual tournaments that Deer Run offers. During your day on the course, you can hang out at the clubhouse or enjoy a bite to eat at the snack bar. No matter what time of the season, Deer Run is a great place to play.

Seguin Valley Golf Club

The incredible wilderness of Parry Sound comes to life at Seguin Valley Golf Club, which offers hundreds of acres of picturesque golf. Golf is a stunning game at Seguin Valley, with holes that offer views of Ontario at its best. While golfing, you’ll see creeks, lakes and marshland that show the beautiful area of Parry Sound in all its glory. The course, which is part of a 1,000 acre property stepped in nature, varies in elevation and beauty the entire way around. Events are also a huge part of the course (for future reference!), and the delicious Bar and Grill Restaurant is a great place for a post-game meal. If you’re into a staycation, you can stay on the property as well. If not, this is a great place for a day of golf in the Parry Sound area.

The Ridge at Manitou

Just east of Parry Sound, The Ridge at Manitou is an incredibly unique place for a day of golf. The course — while stunning — is just a small piece of the property, which is a nature preserve home to wildlife and landscapes that show the very best of the Canadian outdoors. During your 18 holes, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views and a great game of golf. As a Certified Audobon Cooperative Sanctuary, the course is an excellent location for a nature-inspired round of golf.

At Gilbert + Burke, there’s nothing like making memories and having fun in the beautiful community around Parry Sound that we all call home. From lifestyle content to DIY tips, sign up here for Parry Sound updates in your inbox.
