20 years of business have made us lucky enough to meet many people who have changed the Gilbert + Burke team, starting with Brian, Randy, and Cathy.

There would be no Gilbert + Burke without Randy and Cathy Burke and Brian Gilbert, who have built this business together as great partners with an even greater team behind them. As a visionary and leader for the G+B team, Randy started the company with his wife Cathy in 2000, and helped to build the company through healthy expansion and incredible projects. After several years in business, the team brought in Brian, who was an award-winning project manager and who brought a new and different perspective to the team.

Randy’s entrepreneurial spirit is what sparked the creation of G+B. Randy has gained incredible knowledge from the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors, Defect Recognition, Enerquality and the Building Canada Program. Outside of his work with Gilbert + Burke, Randy has done everything from helping to facilitate literacy efforts in Senegal to owning a 700-hive beekeeping enterprise. Randy has served as a member of the Business Development Advisory Board for the City of Kawartha Lakes, a committee member on the Ontario Home Builder Association Accessibility Roundtable, a member of the Fleming College Technical Trades Institute Steering Committee and a governor on the Fleming College Board of Governors. We’re lucky to have his expertise and passion to lead the team.

Brian’s impeccable work ethic has led him to becoming an internationally recognized, award-winning project manager, and his management techniques and styles have added nothing but efficiency to our team. This year marks Brian’s 13th with the company, and he excels in everything from employee management and organization to health and safety training and customer relations. With an overarching knowledge in fine carpentry as well as in leadership, he’s made the Gilbert + Burke team better from day one.

Cathy helps to lead the Gilbert + Burke team as the chief financial officer and the vice president, using her experience as everything from a registered nurse to a long-term volunteer to bring great communication to the table. During her time as a founder and leader of G+B, Cathy has taken accounting and project management training-working as head of everything finance, project liaison and marketing management. With her unique skill set and passionate perspective, we’ve been able to build a great team!

Now, in 2020, Brian, Randy and Cathy work together at the helm of Gilbert + Burke, the business built on the foundations of collaboration, teamwork and trust. With Randy as the President & CEO, Brian as the Vice President of Operations, and Cathy as VP and Finance Manager, the Gilbert + Burke team operates on a strong motto of passion and success.
